guitar amp power supply ready :-)

At last the power adapter for my guitar amp ready. My Radio Craft book has been announced no major difficulties for the power supply, but for various reasons, the simple power supply from the wiring diagram is not so very timely.

In the foreground, the half-finished board for the heater voltage of the preamp tube, followed by the indirect grounding a 1000V capacitor and 2 resistors.

Nowadays, the circuit ground can not be connected directly to the ground to avoid ground loops between multiple devices. The capacitor also filters out high frequency voltage components.

to see: The Schottky diode of the rectifier. Yes, they are recycled and have been installed somewhere - but 95% of the remaining parts too ;-)

Here are the indirect grounding. For wiring, I'm mostly switched to rigid NYM cable. This can not fray and is easier to process - easier to stuff, especially in terminal strips. And it must not previously tin :-)

The preamp tube to be supplied with DC voltage - instead, as indicated in the schematic, with AC. I hope that by the hum is reduced to a minimum. To this end, I build a small circuit board with rectifiers (Schottky diodes fast :-), jder amount capacitors for smoothing the voltage and a 5V voltage regulator (7805), to be "highly placed" with two diodes to 6.2 V:

This villain is sitting in his mobile (do not worry, Photos to follow) and controlled KITT with his headset :-) just
To prevent this, is lined with Bonnie, Devon and RC on like organ pipes in front of the super-computer in-office and mobile use KITT trying to convince them that he still really love is all about.

The "test set"

First, the page for the tube heater. The Output voltage is found quickly.

Idle almost 8V. This looks suspiciously like two 6.3-V winding with center tap.

Twice 6.3 V can be summarized well and rectify, then later humming at least not the heating.

Now for the anode voltage. I return from a center.

A 250V winding. On the other side is also a legally balanced.

I think I have found the first-300V winding :-)

The two inner windings should then combine to 500V.

At idle, it is of course a few more volts.

And the two external 600V. Just what I need :-)

Hey, my meter is more than the 600 volts on it than are the maximum touch ;-) Well, I would not do it ^. ^

defect marking of course I know still do not know how much electricity can be seen from the good piece now, but judging by the weight it should be enough for my purposes it ;-)
